1. Who We Are

2. Data We Collect

Account data: Name, email address, and payment details (processed by Shopify/Stripe — we never see full card numbers).

Usage data: Anonymous analytics on feature usage to improve the product. No personal content is collected.

Support data: Information you provide when contacting support.

3. Local Processing — Our Core Principle

TaskNext.AI runs entirely on your computer. Your social media content, brand voice data, generated images, drafts, and analytics are processed and stored locally. We do not have access to this data. AI API calls are made directly from your device to the AI providers using encrypted connections.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (UK GDPR)

Contract performance: Processing account and payment data to provide the service.

Legitimate interests: Anonymous usage analytics to improve the product.

Consent: Marketing communications (opt-in only).

5. Sub-Processors

Shopify Inc. — E-commerce platform and payment processing (Canada/USA).

Stripe Inc. — Payment processing (USA, with EU/UK data localisation).

Anthropic PBC — AI text generation via API (USA). No user data is stored by Anthropic.

Perplexity AI Inc. — Research API (USA). Query data only, no personal data transmitted.

Black Forest Labs — Image generation API (Germany). Prompt text only.

6. International Transfers

Where data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on UK GDPR adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

7. Data Retention

Account data: retained while your subscription is active, deleted within 30 days of account closure. Payment records: retained for 6 years (HMRC requirement). Support correspondence: 2 years.

8. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to: access your data, rectify inaccuracies, erase your data, restrict processing, data portability, object to processing, and lodge a complaint with the ICO (ico.org.uk).
